When I was little, I always ask myself what's the meaning of 'Alina'. And to answer my very own question, I forced myself on browsing through many books related to 'collection of names in Islam'. Yet to no avail. Still, I had never gave up. When I had the chance, I did some research on it, searching on the internet; my favourite search engine; Mr. Google.
Until last year, only I really did found the real meaning of my name. That moment was beyond words as I found myself in the state of over-excitement I was like smiling from ear to ear; like the big-grin-emoticon that we use to have in Yahoo Messenger. Alhamdulillah, I found it and it's true when my dad said it has meanings.
The very first piece of information I knew about my name was it is originated from either Celtic, Arabic and Greek. In arabic, alina means noble and illustrious. It also means light. If my name was spelled & pronounced A-L-E-E-N-A the meaning would change into Silk of Heaven! Subhanallah!
O Allah, I plead to You, make this servant of Yours a noble and illustrious person that spread Your Light to the entire world that she could afford of, so that she could become one of Your Silk of Heaven! Amiin!
